University of South Carolina Implements Fluid ePAF™ for PeopleSoft

COLUMBIA, SC – As part of its implementation of PeopleSoft HCM, the University of South Carolina is ensuring that it delivers a user experience that is intuitive, interactive and easy-to-use. Implementing Fluid ePAF™ for department self-service is a big part of that strategy.

Gideon Taylor has partnered with the University to help with the efficient design of business processes and the development of the automated solution leveraging GT eForms™ and the Fluid ePAF™ template. Some of the biggest wins will come from USC’s new Hire eForms:

  • Hire for Faculty and Staff – This form takes information from USC’s recruiting system, PeopleAdmin, and auto-creates a Hire form that validates the information, identifies potential data errors, routes for approval and then updates six (6) separate records in PeopleSoft. Perhaps the biggest win for the Hire form is the elimination of manual keying of data from PeopleAdmin into PeopleSoft.
  • Hire for Students – This form automatically populates with data from USC’s Banner student system, enabling the user to complete a few remaining fields to complete the hire. The form includes edits to enforce workstudy and international student rules.

The Hire forms are just the tip of the iceberg. In addition, the GT-USC team is building Job Change, Status Change and Additional Pay forms to round out their personnel action processes. A new Benefits Enrollment eForm will replace delivered PeopleSoft self-service functionality managing complex benefit rules. Account Change and Retro Adjustment eForms will enable users to easily update the Department budget table and adjust the GL.

When the full PeopleSoft system goes live in 2019, USC’s department users will be able to take full advantage of an enhanced PeopleSoft user experience and powerful functionality optimized specifically for their business.
