AI Just Changed the Integration Playbook. Here’s What It Means for Your Budget

How much of this year’s budget, and next year’s, goes to just getting your systems to talk to each other? Every new SaaS platform, system replacement, and retirement brings its own integration project. In a mixed environment of PeopleSoft, Workday, Oracle Fusion Cloud, ServiceNow, and on-prem applications, those projects add up year after year. Point-to-point integration, one custom connection for every pair of systems, made sense when there were only a few systems to connect. It gets expensive to maintain as the list grows.
This session looks at a different way to plan for that spending. Ida.Next is an agentic decision engine that runs in a private cloud tenancy and connects once to each back-end system through APIs, MCP servers, or direct integrations. From there, it reasons across those connections to answer questions, chain multi-step requests, and complete transactions in real time, without copying or staging data. eFlow extends the same layer into workflows and forms, turning raw REST APIs into reusable data sources that business analysts can work with.
We’ll show live examples of what this means for the integration line in your budget. You’ll have fewer connections to build and maintain, less rework when a system changes, and a security model that inherits each source system’s own controls instead of relying on a shared service account. You’ll leave with practical questions to bring into your own planning conversations.
What we’ll cover
- Where integration costs come from in a mixed PeopleSoft, Workday, Oracle Fusion Cloud, and ServiceNow environment, and why they grow with every system change
- How connecting once to each system changes the math
- Live examples of answering questions, chaining requests, and completing transactions across systems in real time
- How each connection inherits the source system’s security model, with sensitive data redacted before it reaches an AI model
- Using eFlow to turn raw REST APIs into reusable data sources for workflows and forms
- Questions to bring into your next budget planning cycle
Who should attend: IT leaders, enterprise architects, and anyone who builds or approves integration budgets. Functional and technical attendees are both welcome.
Presented by Scott Antin, VP Sales Strategy, and Andrew Bediz, Practice Lead, AI & UX, at Gideon Taylor.
