Release 25.04 marks a major milestone: Ida Agents are now generally available. Your AI doesn’t just answer questions anymore. It thinks, reasons, and leverages live enterprise data. And with Ida Tools, including DSP-based tools that tap into your existing PeopleSoft integrations, you’re giving your AI the ability to do real work. We’ve also supercharged the PeopleSoft Assistant with direct access to PeopleBooks, making it an instant expert on every page in your system.
Let’s dig in.
Ida Agents: Now Generally Available
Remember when we introduced Ida Agents in 25.03? The agentic AI that could think, reason, and actually get things done? It’s officially out of beta.
With 25.04, Ida Agents are now generally available, and they’re powered by something equally important: Ida Tools. These tools give your AI the ability to access live data, execute actions, and deliver answers that go way beyond what’s possible with knowledge bases alone.
One of the most powerful tool types? DSP-based tools. If you’ve been using Ida, you already have a library of PeopleSoft integrations built on DSP. Now those integrations can become AI tools with just a few clicks. No complex workflows. No extensive configuration. Just AI agents armed with real PeopleSoft data.
But here’s where it gets interesting. Ida Agents don’t just retrieve data. They reason with it. Need to compare two datasets? Analyze trends over time? Ida Agents can handle it, combining multiple data sources to deliver insights you’d normally spend hours pulling together.
Right now, our Ida Managed Service Team builds custom tools for clients. Soon, you’ll be able to build your own. Complete control over what your AI can access and what it can do.
And the beauty of the DSP-tools is that you maintain security and governance over every piece of data the AI touches.
PeopleSoft Assistant Levels Up with PeopleBooks
The PeopleSoft Assistant just got smarter. It can now tap directly into PeopleBooks content, giving users instant access to Oracle’s official documentation without leaving the page they’re on.
No more hunting through PDFs or navigating confusing help portals. The Assistant now combines your policies with official PeopleBooks guidance, delivering more complete answers that deflect tickets faster. Available now for all Ida Enterprise and Ida Pro licenses.
