SPOKANE, WA – Congratulations to Spokane County on the successful go-live of their new Fluid ePAF (electronic personnel action forms) pilot. Departments participating in the pilot include Human Resources, Auditor, Sheriff, and Information Technology representing approximately 400 of the County’s 2,000 employees.

As part of their PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 system, Fluid ePAF enables supervisors and department staff to efficiently initiate, route, approve, and update a wide variety of personnel actions including Hires/Rehires, Promotions, Demotions, Transfers, Pay Rate Changes, other Employee Data Changes, Terminations, Retirements, Leave of Absence, Paid Leave and Return from Leave. Below is a screenshot of the configurable Compensation page from their Job Change form, pre-populated with current job data information.

The “Highlights Enabled” feature enables the user to quickly see those values that have changed. “Current Values” lets the user view both current and new data values. The grid in the “Pay Components” segment enables the user to setup multiple components of pay.

“As compared to our old paper-based processes, we expect turnaround times to be cut in half with ePAF,” commented Ken Mohr, Spokane County Project Manager. “It’s going to save a lot of time, but it’s also making the whole process significantly easier and more accurate.”

Gideon Taylor provided training on the GT eForms toolset as well as design and development assistance during the implementation, but it was the County’s team that deserves the lion’s share of the credit for a successful implementation. Next up for the County? A full deployment of Fluid ePAF to the rest of their employees by January 2019 and the implementation of additional forms in the new year.
