SUMMARY:Rethinking Digital Transformation – Chapter 1: “Everyone is Doing it” and Other Bad Reasons for Cloud Moves
DESCRIPTION:Rethinking Digital Transformation – Chapter 1: “Everyone is Doing it” and Other Bad Reasons for Cloud Moves\nWhen starting a digital transformation\, it is best to know why you’re doing it. Is moving to the Cloud a means to an end\, or an end in itself? Are you trying to impact the bottom line\, improve the user experience\, or both? As the industry learns real-world lessons about re-platforming in the Cloud era\, you’d better have your priorities straight. \nJoin us for this insight-packed webinar with Gideon Taylor CEO Paul Taylor. Thursday\, July 18th @ 12PM CDT. \n \nThis session will take a hopefully sober\, and likely sobering look at how a SaaS project affects users and finances. Moving to the cloud will definitely change user experience and functionality – probably in both positive and negative ways. Cloud moves always change cost structures – but don’t automatically reduce cost. \nYour priorities should dictate the timing of your Cloud move\, and well-informed decisions may contradict herd mentality. You may find it worthwhile to invest in dramatically improving your PeopleSoft user experience today while you are preparing for your Cloud move. Sorry if we’re the first to tell you this\, but SaaS won’t magically make everything better. \nWarning: Sacred cows (and conventional wisdom) are not safe in this session! We will question the consensus meaning of “digital transformation” and propose a more challenging definition; we’ll take a clear-eyed look at the negative impacts you can expect from a SaaS move\, and steps you can take to mitigate them. You might end up wanting to rethink your whole enterprise project calendar. What\, did you think this was going to be easy?

SUMMARY:Rethinking Digital Transformation\, Chapter 2: Unintended Consequences of SaaS Migrations
DESCRIPTION:Rethinking Digital Transformation\, Chapter 2: Unintended Consequences of SaaS Migrations \nAttention PeopleSoft users! Are you considering a SaaS migration? As the saying goes\, what you don’t know CAN hurt you. Join us for this new webinar full of proven ways to avoid unwanted surprises.  \nJoin us for this insight-packed webinar with Gideon Taylor CEO Paul Taylor. Thursday\, August 15th @ 12PM CDT. \n \nOne of PeopleSoft’s greatest strengths has always been its flexibility\, but that’s also one of its greatest challenges. If you’re contemplating the move to a SaaS solution\, how do you shift from the unlimited (and sometimes uncontrolled) flexibility of PeopleSoft to cookie-cutter rigidity? What do you lose and gain along the way? \nJoin us for Paul Taylor’s theoretical (and often entertaining) musings of “what might be”. How do you address business requirements that aren’t delivered within the base product? Does “SaaS” always equal “up to date” and “best practice”? How do you manage user expectations…and how do you tell them “No”? Perhaps most crucially – when is the right time to move to SaaS? \nPaul will explore benefits and challenges both obvious and unseen. DISCLAIMER: We hope you’re curious about what he has to say\, because we’re never quite sure what to expect.

SUMMARY:Rethinking Digital Transformation\, Chapter 3: What Color is Your Parachute? Smart Strategies to Get from Today’s PeopleSoft to What’s Next
DESCRIPTION:Rethinking Digital Transformation\, Chapter 3: What Color is Your Parachute? Smart Strategies to Get from Today’s PeopleSoft to What’s Next\nLike it or not\, there’s likely a huge ERP project in your future. And sorry for the clickbait\, but we’ll share our 8 Top Tips (really!) to get you ready. #4 will surprise you! (Um\, sorry again.) \nJoin us for this insight-packed webinar with Gideon Taylor CEO Paul Taylor. Thursday\, September 26th @ 12PM CDT. \n \nSorry to bring this up\, but there is probably a huge ERP project in your future. Whether you move to a SaaS platform or reimplement PeopleSoft to fully modernize\, if you want to stay relevant\, it’s not a question of “if”\, but “when”. How does your organization go about preparing for that? \nSomeone once said that taking an organization through a major ERP project can be like jumping out of an airplane and sewing your parachute on the way down; you just hope you can get enough pieced together before you hit the ground to keep the landing from being… um… disruptive. Won’t it be easier (and safer) if your parachute is ready before you board the plane? \nWe’ll discuss some of the smart things your organization can be doing today so that you’re ready for tomorrow when it comes. \n\nDesign Cloud-proofed business processes that can are not platform-dependent\, so they can easily move if you do.\nAutomate manual tasks now so your staff has bandwidth to work the next big project.\nInvest in user experience improvements\, like chat and role-focused portals\, that you can take with you.Join us for successful strategies that will ensure a soft landing when your next big ERP project comes and allow you to keep innovating in the meantime!

SUMMARY:Automating the Annual Curriculum Review & Refresh powered by GT eForms (feat. University of Nottingham)
DESCRIPTION:(NOTE: The scheduled time for this online event is to accommodate our customers and friends in Europe. If you’re unable to attend live\, we will be sharing a link to the recording for all registrants.) \nThe University of Nottingham has been using GT eForms for the past year to transform tedious manual tasks into powerful\, efficient automated solutions in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. Join us for an insightful demo and discussion of their new Annual Curriculum Review and Refresh solution! \nEnsuring the accuracy of information in the online course catalog is crucial for compliance with the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) regarding consumer law\, enhancing the student experience\, and reducing errors in progression and award calculations and exam scheduling. Previously\, updating the curriculum involved: \n\nAcademics creating ‘track-changes’ Word documents\nAdministrative staff interpreting these documents and inputting changes into Campus Solutions\nAcademics verifying the administrators’ work\n\nThis manual process was error-prone and time-constrained due to external authority deadlines and the need for timely information for timetabling. With hundreds of staff at the University involved\, numerous errors occurred complicating various processes. \nTo address this\, UNottingham implemented a workflow-enabled GT eForm and custom self-service application. Now\, academics submit changes directly into Campus Solutions\, which are processed through an approval workflow. Upon final approval\, changes are automatically integrated into Campus Solutions. This solution has enhanced data quality and accuracy\, reduced errors and significantly shortened the time required for this process. \nThis presentation will outline the initial challenges\, the implemented solution\, and the resulting improvements in data quality\, error reduction and process efficiency. \nIf you’re unable to attend due to the time\, please register and we’ll send a copy of the recording. \n

SUMMARY:Guest Users are People Too: Enabling Secure External Participation in eForms
DESCRIPTION:Curious about enabling guest access in GT eForms? In this webinar\, we’ll break down what it takes to set up guest access for the first time\, including the typical timeline\, who needs to be involved\, and how to avoid common configuration missteps. We’ll explore the limitations and “gotchas” of creating a public-facing form experience\, share real-world examples of how clients are successfully leveraging guest access\, and show where guest users can appear throughout a workflow. Plus\, we’ll clarify the often-confusing topic of when tokens are required (like for evaluate and update actions) and when they aren’t (typically for add actions). Whether you’re just starting or fine-tuning your implementation\, this session will give you the insights you need to make informed decisions. \nPresenter: Jay Jorgensen \nSpeakers: Alisha Malcarne and Lynette Chaudoin
