Federal Contractors Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Federal contractors will have 30 days from the date of the first federal contract awarded after Sept 8 to enroll in E-Verify, and 90 days after enrolling to phase in E-Verify use. The FAQ link above includes this language about the phase-in period:

My company is required to use E-Verify as a federal contractor for the first time. How do I proceed?

If your company has not yet enrolled in E-Verify, then you have 30 days from the date of contract award to enroll and 90 days from the date you enroll with E-Verify to initiate verification queries for employees already on your staff who will be working on the contract and to begin using the system to verify newly hired employees. After this 90-day phase-in period, you will be required to initiate verification of each newly hired employee within 3 business days after their start date.

University of British Columbia Begins ePAF™ Implementation Project
11 July 2009

The latest ePAF™ implementation project got underway this week at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, BC. Under the direction of our partner firm Sierra Systems, the joint Sierra - GT consulting team worked with UBC subject matter experts to install GT eForms™ and ePAF™, and to conduct our proprietary Optimization and Defaulting Analysis (ODA) methodology. ODA identifies the maximum efficiencies that can be infused into a business process by exploiting the unique ways an organization uses PeopleSoft. The resulting solution will save UBC time and money through reduced human effort, much faster cycle times, easier training, less errors and paper process elimination.

We are grateful for the trust and investment made in GT solutions by one of Canada's premier educational institutions. We look forward to working together to make the project another resounding GT eForms™ success.

We are also happy to be working with Sierra Systems again. Sierra brought GT technology to their client, the University of Alberta, in 2005, and have been building their internal GT-trained resource team ever since. This project will further cement their leadership in providing GT-based solutions to top institutions.
