Extending the Reach and Value of ERP Systems

Gideon Taylor has been optimizing business processes that feed into ERP systems for years. Our approach is to build custom entry and approval eForms around the delivered ERP application, as "bolt-ons." We treat the ERP application like a repository of data and business logic into which all the transactions feed, but the users do entry into our eForms, and our eForms do the entry into the ERP system.

Since the eForms Layer is also built inside PeopleSoft, we can:

  • Leverage PeopleSoft's security, identity and integration architecture
  • Enjoy native access to data, edits and valid values
  • Provide the user with a consistent look and feel and a common navigation with the host PeopleSoft system
  • Reuse the existing hardware and network architecture

Custom Solutions Without Customizing PeopleSoft

Custom solutions in PeopleSoft means lots of update and upgrade hassles, right? Not with a GT solution! Our bolt-on "eForms Layer" approach separates our custom solutions from delivered PeopleSoft components. Our eForms Layer applications are completely separate objects that won't show up on your compare reports at upgrade time.

To enhance this separation, we interface with the delivered PeopleSoft application as if we were an external application, using Integration Broker (Web Services) and Component Interface technologies, even though the eForms solution also resides in PeopleSoft.

This approach lets us provide a completely custom solution that can perfectly fit your business process, without having to customize PeopleSoft's delivered products. You get your business process just the way you want it, without having to pay for it at upgrade time!
