Implementing and managing the organizational reporting just got much easier for Northern Arizona University. NAU went live today with a "Reports-To" eForm built by a Gideon Taylor team using GT eForms™.
The Reports-To eForm shows a department manager all the positions in their department on one eForm, and allows reporting relationships to be assigned or updated. Positions can even be inactivated from the eForm.
After the manager or admin makes the changes and submits the eForm, it is routed for administrative and core office approval, and then automatically updates both Job Data and Position Data for each position with the reporting information. For inactivated positions, updates are also made in Commitment Accounting to the Department Budget and Encumbrance Definition tables!
This business process would typically require tediously updating each Position and each incumbent one at a time in PeopleSoft. From the big-picture view afforded the departments to the drastic reduction in data entry on the back-end, the Reports-To eForm revolutionizes management of organizational reporting.
