Our Project Team at Kal Tire has completed development of the Hire eForm, which will replace the PeopleSoft-delivered SmartHire process. While the SmartHire process required entry of 21 job fields to complete a hire, the Hire eForm requires only five!
For the remaining fields, valid values are intelligently restricted; for example, in one division the list of 146 jobcodes is narrowed down to 16. As a result, the eForm is much easier for store managers to complete correctly.
Intelligent workflow routings send Rehires to the Zone Manager for review before automated system entry. Everything else goes straight to the system, but generates a Review worklist item for Payroll to check the transaction and any comments.
The Hire eForm has been so well received that Kal Tire has decided to replace their Manager Self-Service process with Gideon Taylor's Job Change eForm, which will save the store managers additional time and effort and allow them to manage all their HR transactions from one place.
